Your future duties and responsibilities
This is a role where no one day is the same and the things you work on are varied, interesting and challenging. As third line support, you may have to remotely solve problems, as well as travelling to site to lay hands on the infrastructure. You will have to manage the customers’ expectations as well as delivering solutions in some challenging environments. Technology encountered could be network, secure encryption, servers, workstations, laptops and VOIP. As well as being an all-rounder technically, you must possess the drive and determination to finish whatever comes your way to a very high standard.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• You will be an all-round multi skilled infrastructure engineer who can work independently as well as being a team player with excellent customer facing skills.
• You will be able to learn fast and be willing to knowledge share within the team.
• You must be willing to achieve SC + as a minimum due to the nature of the work and the client you will be working with.
• Travel is geographical to your home, but you will be expected to travel further afield if required.
• Due to the nature of the customer, work may have to take place in the evenings or weekends under overtime.
