Position Description

A Service Management Team is required within a large Implementation Programme for the MoD (ISS) customer. In this role, the team will be responsible for working initially as part of the CGI project team alongside the client and current incumbents, taking on existing data centre management services, but also implementing a new major compute, network and storage IaaS implementation. The IaaS service will be delivered incrementally where new services come online over a period of 12 months, before setting into a BAU service management regime.

This role is only available if you hold a HLC UK Security Clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Successful candidates will have a background of managing compute, storage and network infrastructure services, with the ability to liaise and communicate with customers and stakeholders at all levels. We are looking for staff who are proficient in Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management, Service Catalogue and Continuous Service Improvement (CSI). You will be responsible for helping the client (MoD/ISS) develop their Service Management strategy including defining policy, processes and BAU activity. Advising the client with all aspects of the current Operational Support Model (OSM), but also helping with the take-on of the new OSM. You will be working initially in an established location, and then migrating to a new nearby location thereafter. You are expected to travel and work at other client locations for short periods. You are required to have high level clearance.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Essential:

Service Management experience of delivering compute, storage and network infrastructure services

A comprehension of the technical components that deliver the IaaS solution

Experience of the ITIL framework

Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship management experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills



Desirable:

Familiarity with secure systems
