Your future duties and responsibilities
You will work alongside a dedicated SAFe coach to lead, support and motivating scaled Agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in line with programme standards. You will be responsible for delivering continuous improvement using scaled Agile methods in a fast-paced environment. In performing the role, you will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience of scaled Agile tools and techniques to fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects, with the appropriate level of planning and providing the right balance of Agility, predictability and pragmatism.
Alongside this you will serve as a product management SME utilising extensive experience of financial services product management, working closely with clients to help define and prioritise products, shape the product strategy and oversee the delivery of products working collaboratively with Agile teams (both on/offshore) to the client’s satisfaction.
You will have likely served in both a product management and delivery leadership (as a senior Scrum Master or Agile coach) capacity in successful scaled Agile projects, which will ensure that you are capable of leading continuous improvement and quality, typically to deliver one or more specific product/s via multi-disciplinary, highly skilled teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•Leading and coaching Agile teams on a daily basis or as required; assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work;
•Domain expert in finance/banking
•SAFe Program Consultant (ideally POPM 4.0) or equivalent qualification in other scaled Agile framework
•Leveraging organisational resources to improve capacity for project work; ensuring team members track their time using the appropriate systems; and mentoring and developing team members.
•Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and implementing an effective system of project governance.
•Ability to work with stakeholders to document requirements as user stories. Deliver solutions fit for purpose to go to market.
•Work with the client Product Owner/s to establish and maintain the roadmap and sprint plans for the product to be delivered against a backlog of prioritised user stories.
•Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for scaled Agile Project Management;
•Ensure Company and Department policies, processes and standards are met.
•Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
•Establish and build strong trust-based client relationships
•Be visible to, and engage and build trust with, all staff and stakeholders. Confidently engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels to generate commitment to goals. Clarify strategies and plans, giving clear sense of direction and purpose for self and team.
