If the answer is yes, come and join our Unix 3rd line BAU team, to provide Unix System Administration and support across various Unix based application type products to a number of UK based Clients on multiple flavours of hardware and O/S.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Work is varied and consists of Incident work, Problem Management, Project work, assisting with Change/Transition activities and patching.
This key role requires a reliable, resourceful person, capable of showing initiative, with appropriate skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
Team members are required to follow standard procedures which are regularly audited to maintain external quality standards accreditation.
You will be self-motivated, and excellent communication skills and team working skills are essential. Your role will comprise of assisting and helping trainee and junior members of the team.
You must be able to work effectively under pressure and will demonstrate a high level of interpersonal/client facing skills,
You will be required to be part of the on-call rota (usually one in ever 4 weeks), be prepared to work overtime as and when required and be willing to go through the necessary security clearance.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will have sound technical knowledge of at least one flavour of Unix; AIX, Linux (RedHat), Solaris, HP-UX, Debian, Ubuntu, Centos.
You will have demonstrable experience of UNIX in a commercial environment.

• Virtualisation; Vmware, Zen, wpar, lpar, Zones
• Docker, AWS, Ansible, Jenkins, Azure or Kubernetes
• Scripting and automation skills
