When Lindsay McGranaghan joined CGI in 2012, she quickly rose through the ranks to become Senior Vice President of CGI’s Scotland Business Unit. At the age of 36, she was one of the youngest people to hold such a senior position in the company’s history.
In Lindsay’s current role as, Senior Vice President, she has overall responsibility for CGI’s established public and private sector businesses in Scotland as well as CGIs growth ambition for Northern Ireland. Leading a growing team of over 500 members, Lindsay ensures success for clients, shareholders and members by innovating and delivering transformational technology solutions.
Lindsay leads CGI’s strategic work as the primary provider of end-to-end managed IT services for City of Edinburgh Council, Glasgow City Council and Scottish Borders Council. Notable successes under her leadership include delivery of Connecting Learning in Glasgow, one of Europe’s biggest digital education projects, the rolling out of Edinburgh Learns for Life, another massive digital education project in the Scottish Capital, and supporting the Scottish Borders’ strategic aim to become the UK’s first smart connected rural region.
Lindsay also oversees the Digital Solutions Centre, which provides cutting-edge IT and tech solutions from inception to delivery for public and private sector clients across 10 global industries. Key amongst her plans is to create the digital skill sets needed for a 21st century workforce, with CGI leading the way in training and employing women in tech.
