Driving change for tenants, customers and communities

Housing associations play a critical role in our communities by providing accommodation and care to parts of the UK population in need of a home. However, they are under unprecedented pressure as new regulations place an increased focus on tenant satisfaction measures, and the drive to net zero is causing a rethink of supply chain relationships, managing housing stock and operational efficiency.

At the current time, inflationary pressures are also stress-testing household incomes and driving arrears, bringing further challenges to housing associations

Property and construction organisations, are also facing a very challenging market; not only because heavily influenced by its cyclical nature but because of external factors, like inflation, salaries squeeze, increasing cost of raw materials and disruption to the supply chain.

We work with you to discover, quantify and prioritise essential components of your digital strategy, such as planning, migration, integration, skills and training. Our focus is always on collaborating with you to ensure your digital transformation succeeds, time to value is shortened and the end state aligns with your corporate plans. The tabs below outline three business areas where technology is already making a difference to tenant outcomes.

Tenants want always on services and a personalised experience, similar to what they enjoy as consumers elsewhere. Access to digital platforms that allow them to access their accounts, request repairs, and make payments online, simplify the process of managing their tenancy. Enabling tenants to self-serve, whether through a portal or chatbot can help save organisations money and focus resources where they are most needed, whilst creating a more streamlined journey for the tenant. However, much of this structured and unstructured data flowing to and from tenants is sitting in silos or is keyed across systems creating inconsistencies and barriers to responsive services.

Technology can now help landlords and property managers provide more sophisticated and intelligent maintenance of the housing stock. Retrofit, sustainability and environmental monitoring benefit from an integrated view of data, but importantly it can also help pre-empt issues before they arise. Integrating IoT solutions and data science techniques with typical line of business IT systems are reaping rewards for organisations that align these investments to longer term business imperatives.

We have been at the forefront of engineering solutions in the housing and property development sectors that provide a 360-degree view of your assets and the opportunity to enable your tenant to become an active part of the solution.

Our metro model

Building lasting local relationships is key to our metro model, enabling our members to work closely with our local authority clients wherever they are based. This model also encompasses areas such as social value and skills development. Each of our 6,000 UK members is encouraged to nominate local causes and social value projects, often working on these community initiatives alongside teams from our clients.

Our members also support our STEM programme, reaching out to local schools to help foster technical skills and inspire the next generation to follow a career in IT. We also offer Higher and Degree level apprenticeships alongside other technical career pathways.
