CGI is partnering with SportsAid to support a number of talented young athletes from across England, Scotland and Wales.

CGI was proud to be the official Systems Integration, BPS and IT Outsourcing partner of Team England, Team Wales and Team Scotland on their journey to the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast, Australia. Read the press release for more information.

The Commonwealth Games is the only time when elite athletes represent their home nation when competing at a major multi-sport, global event. The teams who travelled to the Gold Coast, Australia in April 2018 were a unique blend of emerging talent and established stars, able-bodied and para-sport athletes.

Team England, Team Wales and Team Scotland also sent young athletes to the Commonwealth Youth Games in The Bahamas, between 19 and 23 July 2017.

The values held by all three teams, along with their commitment to developing talent, are very closely aligned with those of CGI, which is why we chose to support them. In the build up to the Games CGI developed a comprehensive programme of activities for CGI members, which included the opportunity to hear direct from athletes and coaches, winning tickets to sporting events, have an athlete visit their children’s school, or take part in sporting events in the office. This has been aligned to our active wellbeing programme, Oxygen, which encourages and supports CGI members to adopt healthier lifestyles.

As part of our commitment to helping to celebrate excellence, CGI is sponsoring three current athletes across Team England, Team Wales and Team Scotland with Commonwealth Games experience and medal winning potential. We are following the progress of each of them every step of the way in their professional journey.
