CGI’s Andrew Rogoyski TV interview with CNBC following publication of CGI and Oxford Economics’ cyber security report
CGI’s Andrew Rogoyski interviewed by CNBC following the publication of CGI’s The Cyber-Value Connection report. The study, conducted by Oxford Economics, explores the impact of a cyber breach on company value.
The Cyber-Value Connection, shows that a typical ‘severe’ cyber security breach represents a permanent cost of 1.8% of company value, as measured relative to a control group of peer companies. For a typical FTSE 100 firm this equates to a permanent loss of market capitalisation of £120 million, signaling a significant loss of value for shareholders.
The interview with CNBC was conducted in April 2017, and explores the key themes of the report and how a company can mitigate cyber risk.
