Andrew brings a wide perspective to cyber security having worked across technology providers, UK government and academia, working with CISOs, technologists, legal experts, insurers and other specialists. He leads CGI’s cyber security business, one of the largest in the UK.

Andrew joined CGI in 2013 following an extended secondment to the Cabinet Office's Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance. At OCSIA, Andrew supported UKTI in the promotion of the UK’s cyber companies overseas and authored the UK’s Cyber Export Strategy, a technology review for the National Cyber Strategy, and guidance on export controls for cyber. More recently, Andrew conceived and chaired the creation of BS10010, a guide to information classification, marking and handling.

Andrew has worked in a variety of technology and strategic consulting firms, including Roke Manor, QinetiQ, Esys, Defence Strategy & Solutions and Logica, previously working as a scientist at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. Andrew currently chairs techUK’s Cyber Security group which he set up in 2008.
