CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) is proud to have won the Public Sector Outsourcing Project of the Year Award, presented at last night’s Global Sourcing Association (GSA) Awards ceremony. The GSA Awards honour best practice and sourcing excellence and are celebrated by representatives of the global sourcing community. CGI was awarded Public Sector Outsourcing of the Year for its work with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and its Executive Agencies.

CGI has been recognised for helping the MoJ improve its user experience for citizens and staff, as well as enhancing supplier relationships and stabilising key business applications, whilst reducing overall costs. CGI’s work with the MoJ, has created a solid partnership framework that has underpinned CGI’s service excellence strategy.

CGI has also helped the MoJ achieve greater stability improvements, eradicating application outages for seven consecutive months. As part of this transformative approach, CGI adopted a client proximity model aligning itself directly with the client’s business areas, ensuring it could best serve them and its users. CGI’s winning approach to service and operational excellence, combined with its in-depth business knowledge and support, has helped the MoJ to streamline its processes and recognise business improvements that have directly impacted those people and organisations it works with.

David Filmer, Vice President, Justice at CGI, said: “The Ministry of Justice and its users wanted a service that would help create better experiences for those that interact with it. We worked in collaboration to produce a number of items under the partnership framework, with examples such as producing a “how-do-I” user guide for case transfers- which reduced incidents by over 50%, to our application dashboard that we created which is transforming the way in which service issues are now handled. We’re delighted to have our collaborative work acknowledged by the GSA Awards and look forward to a continued relationship with the Ministry of Justice and its Executive Agencies.”
