Helping UK Sport improve sporting performance through digital insight

Since 1997, UK Sport has been investing National Lottery and Government funds into Britain’s top athletes to deliver medal success on the European, Olympic and Paralympic stage.  Being able to measure and analyse sporting performance effectively is key to this success.

Chelsea Warr, UK Sport’s Director of Performance and Sam Timmermans, UK Sport’s Head of Sport Intelligence discuss how through working with CGI, UK Sport can now transform global sporting data from over 70 sports worldwide and a million sporting performances into vital knowledge and insights.  The video looks at how this insight helped support senior decision makers in Rio 2016 and how it is now helping the organisation heading towards Tokyo 2020.
